Enrollment Options for All Macomb County Residents

  • When you enroll in Fraser Public Schools, you are part of the Fraser Family. We are excited to offer several options for all students in grades K-12. 

    Beginning in the 2020-2021 school year, all students enrolled in Fraser Public Schools will have the option to enroll in Fraser Virtual K-12, an online school with instruction and curriculum delivered by our certified teachers. All students will be able to participate in athletics, band, choir and student organizations. Fraser Virtual is not an alternative education program. 

    Elementary Options DK-6

    DK - A Program for Young 5s

    Fraser Public Schools has an established program for students who may benefit from an additional year of learning before kindergarten.

    • Designed for students with birthdays between May 1 and December 1
    • Modified kindergarten curriculum
    • Certified teachers
    • Specials classes include art, physical education, music and 21st century
    • Busing available for resident students
    • Held at the Dooley Center
    • Students entering DK must take the Brigance Assessment. This will be administered during the first few weeks of school.

    K-6 Face-to-Face (Traditional Model) 

    • Please note this option has the potential for shortened and/or staggered school days and virtual days as mandated by the Governor.
    • Adjusting the daily schedule so that students attend on alternating days or in shorter shifts each day. 
    • Online learning may still need to occur at home.
    • Students entering kindergarten must take the Brigance Assessment. This will be administered during the first few weeks of school.

    K-6 Virtual

    • Online learning at home with Fraser teachers providing direct instruction virtually.
    • District provides an iPad for each student.
    • If possible, opportunities to bring in small groups of students for assessment and key instruction.
    • Students entering kindergarten must take the Brigance Assessment.

    Secondary Options 7-12

    7-12 Face-to-Face (Traditional Model)

    • Please note this option has the potential for shortened and/or staggered school days and virtual days as mandated by the Governor.
    • Adjusting the daily schedule so that students attend on alternating days or in shorter shifts each day. 
    • Online learning may still need to occur at home.

    7-12 Virtual Model

    • Online learning at home with Fraser teachers providing direct instruction virtually.
    • District provides an iPad (for 7-8) or MacBook (9-12) for each student.
    • If possible, opportunities to bring in small groups of students for assessment and key instruction

    7-12 Blended Model

    • Secondary students have a full 7 period schedule with Hybrid Courses.
    • Classes would not meet every day – allowing for Social Distancing.

District Residents

  • District residents are able to enroll their students at any time during the school year. Fraser Public Schools boundaries include the entire City of Fraser, and parts of Roseville and Clinton Township. You can verify that you live in the district by viewing our district map or by calling Central Enrollment at (586) 439-7014.

    Important Dates

    • Enrollment in Fraser Virtual K-12 is open from June 15 - August 26, 2020
    • Unlimited openings for currently enrolled students in K-12
    • Families will be allowed to change their enrollment (from virtual to face-to-face, or face-to-face to virtual) during the Second Semester School of Choice window, which opens in January 2021. Residents moving from the virtual program to the face-to-face program during this window are not guaranteed a placement in their home school.

Schools of Choice Enrollment

  • Fraser Public Schools participates in Schools of Choice for Macomb County residents.

    This program is open to students who reside anywhere in Macomb County and have not been suspended during the last two school years or ever expelled. An official disciplinary report from the prior district(s) for the last two school years is required at the time of enrollment. School of Choice families are responsible for their own transportation.

    • Applications can be completed online, or at home and mailed, emailed or faxed to the Administration Building.
    • We make every attempt to keep siblings together.
    • All schools accept Schools of Choice students, contingent on available space in a grade level and school.

    Schools of Choice Form and Release of Records
    All new Schools of Choice students must submit a completed SOC form and Release of Records at the time of enrollment. The form is included in the online registration packet. Anyone submitting the PDF registration packet will also need to complete this form.

    Important Dates

    • Traditional Face-To-Face Model
      • Enroll between February 1 - September 11, 2020
      • Unlimited Openings for DK-11
      • Families may be allowed to change their enrollment (from virtual to face-to-face, or face-to-face to virtual) during the Second Semester School of Choice window, which opens in January 2021.

      • Enroll between June 15 - August 26, 2020
      • Unlimited openings for K-11
