Welcome to Fraser Public Schools and thank you for taking the time to visit our web site.  I hope you will take this opportunity to explore the many wonderful programs and offerings that are available to our PreK-12 students and their families.  Fraser Public Schools has a long-standing tradition of providing a high quality and comprehensive education to our community.  As a result, our students are consistently ranked near the top of all Macomb County schools in their performance on MEAP and MME state assessments.  In addition, our students enjoy a variety of extra-curricular programs that are focused on connecting them to their school and our community.  We believe every child has an opportunity to learn and grow whether their passion is in the arts, athletics, activities or academics.  One example of this belief is our award winning performing arts program and the recent establishment of the Fraser Performing Arts Career Academy.  This “school within a school” Academy is focused on providing students with a college-prep curriculum in the performing arts while attending a traditional high school campus.  The development of the FPACA demonstrates our district commitment to providing students with opportunities to learn and grow in an environment that supports their varied passions and interests.

Strong parent and community support has been the cornerstone of our success in Fraser.  Over the past decade, our community has supported bond proposals that have resulted in updated facilities and the integration of technology throughout our school district.  As we look to the future, we recognize the need to continuously improve and re-design our learning environment to meet the needs of today’s learner is more important now than ever.  Our staff is committed to meeting that challenge by implementing best practice strategies throughout our schools and organization in order to reach our goals of providing our students with the skills that are necessary to be successful in the 21st century.

Again, thank you for your interest in our school district.  I would encourage you to take the time to visit our schools and to personally witness the wonderful opportunities that are available to our students.  If I can be of personal assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

With Fraser Pride,

David M. Richards, Ph.D.

    Retirement Announcement

The past 13 years I have been in Fraser have been the most rewarding and fulfilling of my career. I know we say it all the time, but Fraser is truly a special place and our schools are at the heart of our community...As superintendent, it has been an honor to serve the community and position our school district as a leader in learning.

Giving Thanks for a Grateful Year

2017 has been a great year and I am confident 2018 will be even better. I’m excited to see the work happening around the bond issue and the positive impact it will have on our buildings and kids.

    We've Come So Far

The season of giving thanks is upon us. While I know I have shared my gratitude for every member of our Fraser Family in the past, I wanted to share with you a conversation I had a few weeks ago.

    The Fraser Difference

We often tell you about the different initiatives and learning transformations happening in our schools. But what about when students leave our buildings and begin their lives after high school? How does the Fraser Difference affect students once they graduate?

    New Year-New Beginnings

Every new school year is a time for new beginnings. Whether those are social, academic, or athletics based, it is a chance to hit the reset button. As our students meet their new teachers and begin new friendships, I wanted to reflect for a moment on the work that has taken place during the summer here in Fraser Public Schools.
