The Food Service Department at Fraser Public Schools is thrilled to share that we will provide meals for virtual learners throughout the school year! In an effort to help us prepare and meet the needs of our community, we are hoping you will take a few minutes to review the information contained in this letter to assist you with our new procedures. Here is some information regarding student meals:
Breakfast & lunch will be available beginning on Tuesday 9/8/2020 and meals will be FREE!
Meals will be available to all children 18 years of age & under.
The student does not have to be present for meal pick-up.
Meals will be available for pick-up Monday thru Friday at Fraser High School from 7:00am – 11:00am. Please enter the parking lot off of Klein Road coming from the Garfield Road direction and pick-up meals from the cafeteria door.
Parents are strongly encouraged to complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application at lunchapp.com. Funding for the current free meals program is only approved through December and could be eliminated at any time. Once this free program ends, your meal price will be dependent on your child’s eligibility status. In addition, your application status could make your child eligible for other support from the District.
To assist our Food Service Department with determining meal participation on a daily basis, we are requesting that meals be pre-ordered by parents. Parents can pre-order their child(ren)’s meals using the sendmoneytoschool.com website. Once logged onto the website, click on “Your Children”. You will now see an “Order” button where you can select your child’s meal for the day.
Parents can order a meal for their child on any given day up to one week ahead of time, such as ordering Monday for the following Monday. In addition, you must order meals 1-2 school days in advance (see schedule below).
Our recommendation is that each Friday, you visit sendmoneytoschool.com to order meals for Monday thru Friday of the entire following week.
In addition to meal pick-up for our virtual learners, families that are utilizing the district offered SACC/Early Childhood Care programs will be provided both a breakfast & a lunch on days they are attending the program. These will be delivered to their classroom.
For the purposes of pre-ordering these meals, SACC breakfast & lunch will be considered an option “B”. Option “B” is ONLY available for SACC students. All other students that are requesting a breakfast and/or lunch should select option “A” which is a curbside meal pick-up for virtual learners.
Fraser Public Schools will share news of any adjustments or changes to the meal distribution plan as they become available.
