November 15, 2021 Update

  • Dear Fraser Families,

As we head into the Holiday Season, I wanted to provide you with some updates regarding COVID protocols.  As always, Fraser Public Schools’ top priority remains the health and well-being of all, and we are doing our part every day to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

As I have said before, our students and staff have done a wonderful job working together to respect individual families’ choices on whether or not to wear a mask. We will continue to have masks available in all of our buildings for anyone who chooses to wear one. Fraser Public Schools encourages everyone who is not fully vaccinated to wear a face covering. Facial coverings are a safe and proven strategy to prevent secondary transmission of this aggressive Delta variant in schools.

We continue to work closely with our local Macomb County Health Department (MCHD). As we have discussed before, this is a fluid situation, and we will adjust accordingly if needed. We will continue to follow the law and any school requirements.

Testing has become an important strategy to keep our students in school.  We know how important that is to our families.  We will continue to offer our free COVID-19 testing clinic each weekday for students and staff who are quarantined by the MCHD due to an in-school exposure.  Please understand that the testing clinic is only for students and staff who are quarantined by the MCHD due to an in-school exposure.

If you feel that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and want to be tested, you should consider the resources provided by the MCHD.  The district has limited resources, and at this time, we are only able to accommodate testing for students and staff who have been quarantined by MCHD for in-school exposure.

Please continue to notify the Macomb County Health Department at (586) 463-3750 during normal business hours if you have a positive case in your home. Additionally, families and staff members should contact their school administrator.

Fraser Public Schools will continue to report all student and staff COVID-19 positive cases to the MCHD, which will then investigate to determine if any additional students or staff should be quarantined.  We will continue to work with our Health Department to support these efforts.

We are proud to be part of a community that values education and partners together with us to prioritize the health and wellness of our students, staff, and families.

Thank you for your continued support and efforts.

    With Fraser Pride,

    Ms. Carrie Wozniak
    Superintendent
