Welcome to FPS Transportation Department

  • Students will be assigned a route number in lieu of a bus number. The route number is located on the left side of the entry door. Each bus route has been assessed and tested in an effort to make Fraser’s transportation system as safe and efficient as possible. To ensure transportation, all students must be at their bus stop 10 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time. To make sure your child has a safe and pleasant ride, please review the bus rules with your child found on this website.

Student ID Scanning Frequently Asked Questions

  • synovia logo

    What is the Synovia system?
As students in Fraser enter and exit the bus, there is a device near the driver where they will need to scan their student ID card.

Why did Fraser Public Schools partner with Synovia?
This partnership increases the security on our buses and ensures all students are on the correct bus.

When will my elementary student receive a Student ID card?
Schools will distribute student ID cards and a coil bracelet to all students eligible to ride a bus on January 6, 2020.

    When does testing begin?
Testing will begin January 7, 2020 at the elementary level.

    Which students does this affect?
Students at Richards Middle School and Fraser High School have used this program since the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.

The January 2020 testing phase will only affect elementary students in grades K–6 who ride Fraser buses. Students in DK or who ride the MISD buses will not be affected at this time.

What if my student does not show his or her Student ID?
During the testing phase, we will not deny any student access to the bus, as long as they are eligible to ride the bus. Once the system is implemented, we will never leave a student at their bus stop. However, repeatedly failing to scan a student ID could result in discipline from your child’s school.

What if my child forgets or loses his or her ID?
The media centers will be equipped with printers to make replacement student ID cards. Please note this may incur a $3 fee.
