About the PTO
The function of the PTO is for parents and the school staff to work together in making our school a better place for all of our students. We have a variety of fundraising events throughout the year. Monies generated help to offset field trip costs, pay for assemblies, purchase gym and playground equipment, purchase books for our library, just to name a few. In addition, our PTO paid for the murals in our gym, our Edison Eagle Mascot, and the water cooler in our main hallway.
Our main fundraiser is the annual Walk-a-Thon. This fundraiser generates the majority of our budget and determines if we will do any other selling fundraisers throughout the year. The PTO budget is also funded by such programs as Entertainment Books, Pizza Kits, Scrips, Target Take Charge, Box Tops for Education, Ice Cream Social, Restaurant Nights.

The PTO sponsors a number of events that are non-fundraising: Santa Shoppe, FHS swim night, skating parties, school clubs, and our end of the year School Picnic.
(Meetings start at 6:30 pm unless otherwise noted and take place in our Media Center. FREE babysitting is also provided at all PTO meetings)
