Welcome!

My name is Mrs. Kristina Wiegand and I am the proud principal of Edison Elementary. I am committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our Edison Eagles while striving to maintain high levels of academic success- because our students deserve no less.

Here at Edison, our staff works tirelessly to provide meaningful, cutting-edge learning experiences for our students, through collaboration and innovation. We have an “All Hands on Deck” approach to meeting the needs of all students and we pride ourselves on our ability to do just that! At Edison, we celebrate our students’ successes- both big and small. We continuously guide students toward achieving their personal best!

At the core of every successful educational experience is a group of parents and educators working together to engage children in the educational process. We take a great deal of pride in partnering with our parents to both model and foster good character in our students. We believe that building and nurturing positive relationships with students is single-handedly the most important thing that we do, day in and day out! When children witness quality partnerships between home and school, it motivates them and helps keep them on track for success!

Please consider becoming a part of our Parent Teacher Organization at Edison. This group of parents is essential to the success of Edison Elementary. They assist our teachers in many ways, both financially and in their many volunteering efforts. They plan extra-curricular opportunities for our students that both fund academic enrichment experiences at Edison and promote a positive school culture. Your involvement in this organization can be as demanding or as casual as you want it to be- the key is that you’re involved! I hope you look for opportunities to become a part of the many efforts of the Edison Parent Teacher Organization.

I am looking forward to working with you and your children throughout the year at Edison. Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. Also, feel free to stop me during arrival and dismissal time to introduce yourself or to say hi!
