Welcome to Walt Disney Elementary school!  My name is Amy Porter and I am the principal at Disney Elementary.  I have been serving the Fraser community since 2005 as a math teacher, coach, and an assistant principal at Fraser High School, and principal of Disney since 2023.  My time in education has taught me that creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting students’ well-being, supporting powerful learning, and fostering school and community collaboration are all necessary to ensure student success.  As principal, it is my goal to build positive relationships and act as an educational resource for staff, students, and families to help support academic, social, and emotional growth for ALL students.

At Disney Elementary School, our staff works diligently to provide a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.  Our school-wide Positive Behavioral Intervention Support system is focused on developing students to become a Disney S.T.A.R – Show kindness, Take responsibility, Always be safe, Respect others.

We take pride in working collaboratively with parents to ensure each child is reaching their fullest potential.  Communication and cooperation between home and school are essential to promoting the best education for your child.
