Fraser Shout Outs!
Fraser Public Schools has started a new initiative to recognize staff members that go above and beyond for their students, fellow colleagues, and the community. This new initiative is called, “Fraser Shout Out” The program will highlight any staff member, from any corner of the district, who goes that extra mile. As a principal or administrator becomes aware of an extra effort by a staff member, he or she will submit that member for a Fraser Shout Out.
Meet the recipients from this year:
Ta’Nia Willis
Ta'Nia is an interventionist at Edison Elementary. She spends her days working with kids on improving their reading and math skills. She is diligent in her efforts to challenge her students while making connections and establishing a strong sense of rapport with them.
MANY of the students that she works with showed incredible growth throughout the first semester.
On a personal note, Ta'Nia is a well-loved member of our team at Edison. She has a knack for building strong relationships with kids! She has a wonderful personality and brings JOY to our students and staff with her amazing sense of humor. She is extremely reliable and hardworking- wearing many hats throughout her days. Ta'Nia is a huge asset to our staff at Edison and is a pleasure to work with, day in and day out.

Suzanne Sukiennik
Ms. Sukiennik has been an invaluable asset this year in our media center. She helps with a variety of tasks and wears multiple hats that support our staff and students. She goes about completing these tasks with grace and professionalism. Her time and energy have made an impact and we truly appreciate all she does at the castle.

Rebecca Wolf
Mrs. Wolf has done an excellent job in her new role as 21st Century Teacher. She did an amazing job presenting UDL for early learners to the school board. She is widely respected by parents, students, and colleagues. She is a true leader and an asset to Salk Elementary.
Mrs. Wolf's work with assembling the daily announcements and additional student supports throughout the building are always appreciated.

Kristyn Stone
As an interventionist, Kristyn is a huge asset to the students and staff at Edison. From the moment she arrives at Edison each morning, to the moment she leaves each afternoon, Kristyn works her absolute hardest to ensure that the students at Edison have the best educational experience possible.
Kristyn spends her days working with students that need a little bit of extra help in reading and math. The students adore her and feel comfortable and confident when they work with her. She provides our Eagles with the genuine encouragement that they need to feel motivated and celebrates their successes with them.
Kristyn is also a master at multi-tasking and is willing to help throughout the building in any way that she can. Even on tough days, she greets everyone with a smile and a calm, compassionate demeanor.
We are so lucky to work with Kristyn at Edison!

Tina Madeliene
Tina Madeleine serves as a school social worker at Eisenhower Elementary. She is our SWIS lead and assists in coordinating much of the behavioral support for our students in need. Whether consulting about a child’s behavior, developing a behavior plan, or participating in an IEP she is constantly professional.
In addition to supporting students directly, Mrs. Madeleine also volunteers to mentor new staff members and participates in school improvement planning. She consults with families regularly and helps ensure families have access to services both within and outside the school setting. I am thrilled that she is part of our team.
She helps all of us SOAR daily and makes Ike a great place.

Vickie Goethals
I want to give a Shout To Vickie Goethals a preschool aide at the Dooley Center.
Vickie always goes above and beyond in her role, and she cares deeply about the students. She has volunteered for many needed fundraisers and keeps an eye on and updates our Dooley Facebook page, so it stays current.
Around the building, Vickie always has a positive attitude and a friendly demeanor. We are so lucky to have Vickie here at Dooley! Thanks so much, Vickie, for all your hard work. It doesn't go unnoticed.

LuAnn Shadik
Ms. Shadik has been a valued employee for Fraser for many years; working at all levels and various extracurricular activities that support our students, staff, and families. At RMS, she welcomes students each morning off the bus with a warm smile and greeting to start their day. She supports our Special Ed population in a variety of classes and is an asset each step of the way, attending to the individual needs of our students. She also supports our after-school athletic events and has played key roles in the Fraser High School Performing Arts and Michigan History Day.
Ms. Shadik will be retiring at the end of the month, and we will miss her Fraser Spirit, warm presence, and impact she brings each day.

Julie Demsky
Ms. Demsky has been a part of the Fraser Family for 26 years. Twenty of those years have been here at RMS. Ms. Demsky is a hard worker, willing to go above and beyond for the students, staff, and families to make their day a little bit easier and better. Her calm, kind nature has been a benefit to so many who pass through the counseling office doors. She is attentive and supportive and her positive presence will be missed when she retires in January. Thank you Ms. Demsky for all you do and have done to make RMS a better place.

Jill Oltman
During a time of many transitions in the Business Office, Jill has gone above and beyond! She has been a tremendous help as I transitioned to Fraser and has worked so hard to keep things running smoothly within our department throughout all the changes. Jill, thank you for being my rock! You are truly appreciated!!

Caroline Lucido
I would like to give a Shout Out to Caroline Lucido. Caroline is one of our Title One Interventionists at Eisenhower Elementary. She has been at Eisenhower Elementary for over 20 years supporting our students and teachers.
Caroline creates a learning environment in-group that is welcoming and inviting. Students feel safe to take risks in her group and she continues to encourage them to meet their goals. Her students feel connected to her and one another while in-group together.
Caroline takes the lead on learning FastBridge and sharing information with our intervention team. She is always willing to assist other team members in any of our intervention programs.
Caroline has a wonderful connection with all staff members and students and helps all of us SOAR!

Jan Mahieu
Mrs. Mahieu has been a long-time resident of Fraser with her husband Larry and their children Jeff (FHS 2013) and Julie (FHS 2010). They moved to Fraser in 1996 from St. Clair Shores.
Jan started working at Emerson in 1997 as a Lunch Mom when her children were attending Emerson. She quickly moved into a paid Academic Learning Assistant and was eventually asked to work in the office to provide clerical support and has been in that position for almost all her 23 years of working for Fraser. During her time at Emerson, Jan has built countless positive relationships with staff members, parents, and students old and new. She has helped and assisted thousands of the Emerson community throughout the years.
I want to thank Jan for her many years of hard work, reliability, organization, attention to detail and for being an amazing member of the Emerson family. Jan announced her retirement this November and we would like to wish her the best. She will be greatly missed and not easily replaced!

Annette King
Annette is a paraprofessional at Edison and is a hugely instrumental member of our staff. Annette cares deeply about our students at Edison and she portrays that compassion in every single interaction that she has with our Eagles. She works hard every day to ensure that all students have a safe and quality educational experience.
Annette is also highly respected amongst her colleagues here at Edison. She has quiet confidence about her and she brings a sense of calm to every complex situation that she is involved with. Annette is as dependable as they come and her work ethic is inspiring.
We are so lucky to have Annette as part of our Edison team!

Johanna Morin
I would like to give a Shout Out to Johnna Morin. Johnna is one of our Title One Interventionists at Eisenhower Elementary. She has been at Eisenhower Elementary for over 20 years supporting our students and teachers.
Johnna constantly goes out of her way to complete additional tasks at Eisenhower. She takes the lead on reviewing data during collaboration time with her specific grade level and truly knows what her students need in a group. Johnna has taken time to immerse herself in FastBridge and is always willing to assist others.
She takes time to connect with every student she works with and creates a positive environment in which students want to be a part. In short, Johnna will do whatever she can to support our students and staff. She helps all of us SOAR!

Jim Rodgers
Jim Rodgers continues the excellence of the Fraser Band with a First Rating at Band Festival for the 20th year in a row. Jim works with 195 students to perfect the performance for halftime shows, Festival, and other community events.

Elaine McCloskey
I would like to give a Shout Out to Elaine McCloskey. Elaine is one of our Title One Interventionists at Eisenhower Elementary. She has been at Eisenhower Elementary for over 20 years supporting our students and teachers. Elaine is such an asset to our team and puts her whole heart into everything she does. She supports our lower elementary students in reading and math and consistently takes on various duties to assist our first graders and kindergartners. These duties include helping to Brigance Test our kindergarten students during the summer months. Elaine takes time to learn about each of her students and always makes them feel supported and welcomed in the group. In short, Elaine will do whatever she can to support our students and staff. She helps all of us SOAR and we are fortunate to have her on our team!

Lisa Kolanowski
Mrs. Kolanowski is Richard's Responsibility Room supervisor, but she does so much more than oversee the students in the room. Mrs. Kolanowski goes above and beyond with building relationships and putting restorative and reflective conversations into practice with our students. She supports the staff and students wherever is needed to make the day run smoother for the students. Both her in-person and virtual check-ins with students who may be out for various reasons allow our Knights to feel connected, even from afar. Thank you, Mrs. Kolanowski, for your impact and positive attitude. You make Richards a better place.

Julie Twardy
Julie has only been at Mark Twain for a few months, but she is already such a positive part of our school culture. She is organized, creative, and flexible, and she works hard to make sure all students and staff have what they need to be successful. In addition to her tireless efforts to dig in to FastBridge and help make this year's transition easier for our teachers and staff, she is always available to offer support to our Comets when needed. Her positivity and calming disposition are inspiring.
We are so glad that Julie has joined Team Twain! We're very fortunate to have her here!

Michelle Bungart
Michelle went above and beyond in the first two months of the school year with a high caseload, several move-in IEPs as well as leading a new Special Services Team at Disney. Michelle worked beyond her day to make sure we hit our targets, built our plans, and most importantly, met the needs of our students.
Michelle always works hard to pull together a theme with learning as the priority for her students each and every year!!

Mrs. Sarah Rattee has done an excellent job stepping in as a new Kindergarten teacher. She has also worked the SACC program at the same time! She is an asset to Salk Elementary and has done admirable work getting our spirited Kindergarteners to learn the ways of Seahawk students.

Shannon Schubeck
Shannon is the newest member of the Business Office team. She started in March and hit the ground running. Shannon has been instrumental as we transitioned to the new ELEYO billing system that is used for our child care programs. She has supported our staff and families during this transition and has worked hard to ensure families were placed in our SACC program for the start of the school year. She is dedicated, she is positive, and she is very patient. It truly shows how much she cares about our district & our families! She’s been a great addition to the Business Office team & the Fraser Family!
