Our Camp Dooley staff is planning some fun activities for children this summer, including water days, field trips, themed weeks, and outdoor games.
- Monday-Friday, June 16-August 8.
- Camp is closed July 3 & 4 for Independence Day.
- 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Cost:
- $60 non-refundable registration fee
- $5.50 per hour, billed weekly
- No refunds for days not attended

Students will learn from high-interest, science-based texts focused on developing craft, structure, vocabulary, and using knowledge and ideas; engage in STEM activities and experiments focused on developing rich content knowledge and a love for scientific exploration; and, design and explore science concepts through an inquiry and investigative approach and framework.

This academic program consists of mathematical mindset messages, number talks, problem-based lessons, and classroom activities from the inspirational math series on www.youcubed.org.
Math Mindset integrates engaging activities with interactive software to help correct students’ misconceptions in mathematics and help develop a conceptual understanding of concepts needed to be successful in algebra.

Students will have daily opportunities to read, write, and discuss their ideas with peers. They will organize their learning in a readers-writers notebook, with the course ending in a culminating multi-genre project that answers the thematic question, “What makes me who I am?" Students will work toward their individualized reading and writing goals, and share their best work with an audience beyond the classroom.

Summer Enrichment Camp with the Y
YMCA Enrichment Child Care engages children in theme-based activities that support experiential learning and emotional and social skills that are essential for success. Programs provide interest areas that include: summer school homework assistance, arts and crafts, physical activity, nutritional education, group games, and outdoor play.
- Students must be enrolled in a learning program at Salk in the morning to participate.
- 12:00 - 6:00 pm
- Students must be picked up from Salk Elementary.
- $30/day per student, billed weekly.
- This program is only available for students through age 11 years, 9 months.
