Your child’s school attendance is extremely important to his/her future. In an effort to improve our average daily attendance rate at Salk, we’ve recently sent out district-provided notifications to families of all students who have missed 10% or more school days and/or have had excessive tardiness.

 

The purpose of these notifications is to ensure families are aware of the number of days missed so that they can develop a plan to improve their child’s personal attendance rate. Many families have also begun working with our attendance team at Salk to create Individual Success Plans to improve their attendance.

 

Although we realize that illness and other extenuating circumstances occasionally occur, we appreciate our partnership with our families in collectively ensuring that students are here and ready to learn each day!
