The 3rd-grade students at Eisenhower Elementary had the opportunity to learn the art of puppetry at an in-school workshop hosted by PuppetART.

A puppeteer from PuppetART taught the students how to assemble a rod puppet from different materials including Styrofoam, fabrics, and beads.  She also showed them how to make their puppet complete several motions like waving, walking and running.

The students then practiced the newly learned motions in coordination with music and collaborated to create their own script and perform it in the way of puppet play.
