Spreading Joy and Kindness

This year, fourth-grade students at Edison are teaming up to spread joy, kindness, and appreciation throughout their building and community with Kindness Projects. Each week the students meet to reflect on past projects, brainstorm for the future and execute new ideas.

To date, they have created an appreciation jar for their Principal, Mrs. Wiegand, filled with handwritten notes to her from them, and decorated bookmarks for the new third grade students to help ease their minds in the new year. Students are also given homework assignments every week to help them develop important skills like gratitude and kindness at home.

Using bookmark made by older peers to welcome new students.
