Extended Online Learning
Beginning April 20, the district will transition to grade-level appropriate Extended Online Learning for the remainder of the school year. We have created this page as a central access point for students and families for Online Learning information, questions, technology support and resources.
Please bookmark this page and check it frequently for information related to Extended Online Learning for our students. Our teachers and staff will add lesson plans, assignments and activities for students in either itsLearning or BlackBoard.
We do not expect - nor do we want - children to be tied to their device for six hours a day. We anticipate the assignments and projects provided will take approximately three hours daily. Of course, it could take some students longer and some students a shorter amount of time.
We believe there should be a balance between online learning and other educational opportunities like reading, writing, practicing the skills they have learned and collaborating with peers. Equally important is making sure your child’s mental health needs are met; this includes time to play, relax and spend time with you.
Device and Instructional Support
We understand that students and parents may encounter technical issues with their devices and need instructional support. We have created a form that will be monitored by our media center staff and 21st century coaches. Response to your request will happen at the earliest opportunity during the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm. Monday through Friday.
