We Welcome All Macomb County Residents

When you enroll in Fraser Public Schools, you become part of the Fraser Family. We are excited to offer several options to all Macomb County residents, from virtual learning to in-person learning, and Young 5s for our littlest learners.

District Residents

District residents may enroll students at any time during the school year. Fraser Public Schools serves all residents of the City of Fraser, as well as portions of Roseville and Clinton Township.

To determine if your address falls within the Fraser Public Schools boundaries, please use the Macomb School Districts Map.

If you reside within the Fraser Public Schools boundaries, you may begin the enrollment process by following Step 1 below.
If you do not reside within district boundaries but live in Macomb County and would like your child to attend Fraser Public Schools, please review the Schools of Choice (SOC) information below before starting the 3-step enrollment process.

Schools of Choice Applicants

Fraser Public Schools participates in Schools of Choice (SOC) for Macomb County residents who have not been suspended (in-school or out-of-school) during the past two school years and have never been expelled.

We are now accepting SOC applications for 2026-2027 in grades Y5-11.

Before beginning the enrollment process, all Schools of Choice families must complete the following steps:

Complete the Schools of Choice Request Form and bring it to the Administration Building.
Complete the Schools of Choice Discipline/Behavior Request Form and bring it to your child's school(s) from the past two years. The school(s) will send the required discipline records directly to our enrollment office for review.

Once both documents have been received and reviewed, you will be notified of your Schools of Choice status via email. If approved, you will be prompted to continue the enrollment steps below. Please do not start these steps until you have been approved for schools of choice.

Enrolling in Fraser Public Schools is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Please follow the steps in the order below. Each step will come with a verification from the enrollment office providing directions for the next step.

Step 1: Complete the Pre-Registration Form

Notice: If you are enrolling as a SOC family and have not yet filled out the required forms and/or received verification of your status from the enrollment office, please refer back to the Schools of Choice section above. Those items must be completed before you can begin this enrollment step.

If you are a Fraser Public Schools resident or a SOC family who has received confirmation to move forward with enrollment, please click on the button below to fill out the Pre-Registration Form.

Pre-Registration Form

This item is needed as it will generate a PowerSchool access ID and password for your child(ren). You will receive an email from PowerSchool letting you know your submission has been received and will be reviewed.

Once your pre-registration has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email from PowerSchool with directions to begin Step 2! This may take a couple of days. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folders in case the email is routed there.

Step 2: Set up your PowerSchool Parent Portal Account and Complete Enrollment Forms

Once your pre-registration has been approved by the enrollment office, you will receive an email from PowerSchool with directions for this process. The email will include an access ID and password for each of your children, which is needed to complete this step.

If you have not received an email from PowerSchool, it could mean the enrollment office has not approved the pre-registration yet or the email may have been routed to your junk/spam folder. It can take up to 48 hours for the enrollment office to approve your pre-registration.

Once you have created your account and completed all forms, please move on to Step 3 which will explain all of the mandatory documents you must submit before enrollment is complete.

Step 3: Turn in Required Documents

All of the required documents are listed below with details of each.

The only documents that must be brought in-person are each child's birth certificate and, if needed, any notarized documents such as a residency or lease affidavit. Otherwise, you may upload the remaining documents in our document submission link. If you would prefer, you may bring all of the documents to the board office and we will make copies and return the originals to you.

Documents may be dropped off at the Fraser Public Schools Administration Building in person Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. We will make copies of the necessary documents and submit them to the enrollment office for final review, which may take 2-3 days. If there are any questions from the enrollment office regarding your documentation, someone will reach out to you for clarification or missing items.

Once all documentation has been reviewed and approved, you will receive confirmation via both email and mail that your child(ren) are fully enrolled.

Identification

To enroll a student in school, you MUST be the parent listed on the student's birth certificate OR you must be the student's legal guardian with official court documentation.

Please upload a copy of your driver's license or state ID to the document form or bring it with the birth certificate and we will make a copy.

Your driver's license or state ID must match the address of your residency documentation.

Residency

You must provide ONE of the following:

Mortgage Statement
Property Tax Bill
Deed (BS & A not accepted)
Current Lease Agreement AND a Notarized Landlord Affidavit signed by the parent/guardian and landlord.
- The lease may be uploaded to the document form, but the affidavit must be brought in-person with the birth certificate(s). The parent/guardian MUST be on the lease as the Lessee or occupant.
If you are living in a residence which you do not own, please provide the mortgage statement for the homeowner AND a Notarized Residency Affidavit.
- The mortgage statement may be uploaded to the document form but the affidavit must be brought in-person with the birth certificate(s). The parent/guardian and the homeowner must be on the affidavit.

In addition, you must also provide:

Two DIFFERENT types of utility billing statements within the last 30 days displaying guardian's full name and address. These cannot be shut off notices, intent to shut off notices, or a water bill.
Accepted documents for this requirement are gas, electric, internet, television, pay stubs, and state documents such as from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Birth Certificate

You must bring in a certified birth certificate with the registering parents name on it. We will make a copy for our records. Only the child's birth certificate will suffice.

If a guardian is not on the birth certificate, they must show official court documentation proving guardianship. A power of attorney is not accepted as it is not a court-ordered document.

Virtual Learning

Online learning is available for students in kindergarten - 12th grade. Fraser partners with third-party providers to deliver daily instruction. Each student will be assigned a Fraser teacher to serve as a mentor, helping them stay on track and ensuring their grades align with district standards.

Students enrolled in virtual learning are still eligible to participate in Fraser athletics and student organizations.
