- Revise the new hire process and provide time to clearly communicate compensation and benefit details.

- Create opportunities for Human Resources and union leadership to discuss matters of importance during structured staff meetings.
Objective 4.2 Retain staff by fostering a positive, collaborative work culture that prioritizes well-being and supports mental health.
- 4.2.1 Incorporate mental health initiatives to support staff well-being.
- Leverage the district wellness committee and insurance benefit providers to provide information on stress management, mindfulness and fitness.
- Provide opportunities to communicate HR messaging via the Fraser internal newsletter.
- Promote staff recognition through years of service coins and announcements in district newsletters and social media.
- 4.2.2 Encourage shared leadership and staff input
- Provide opportunities for input during department head and grade-level meetings and steering committees.
- Gather feedback to identify common reasons for staff leaving, and implement ways to prevent those reasons if applicable.
- Continue to collect data using the District EDSCLS School Climate Survey.
- 4.2.3 Highlight and communicate the benefits of working for Fraser Public Schools
- Provide staff with personalized total compensation/benefit statements annually.
- Communicate the benefits of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and community partnerships.
