• Fraser Public Schools’ top priority remains the health and well-being of all, and we are doing our part every day to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Our students and staff have done a wonderful job working together to respect individual families’ choices on whether or not to wear a mask. We will continue to have masks available in all of our buildings for anyone who chooses to wear one. Fraser Public Schools encourages everyone who is not fully vaccinated to wear a face covering. Facial coverings are a safe and proven strategy to prevent secondary transmission of this aggressive Delta variant in schools.

We continue to work closely with our local Macomb County Health Department (MCHD). As we have discussed before, this is a fluid situation, and we will adjust accordingly if needed. We will continue to follow the law and any school requirements.

Our current cleaning protocols are as follows:

    • We continue to wipe down the highly touched surfaces.

    • If there has been a sick person or someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in a building within the last 24 hours, the space they occupied is cleaned and disinfected.

    • If less than 24 hours have passed since the person who is sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 has been in the space, the space is cleaned and disinfected.

    • If more than 24 hours have passed since the person who is sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 has been in the space, the space is cleaned. The building may choose to also disinfect depending on certain conditions or everyday practices required by that building.

    • If more than 3 days have passed since the person who is sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 has been in the space, no additional cleaning (beyond regular cleaning practices) is needed.
