District Mass Email Protocol

In an effort to streamline the District’s communication with parents and staff, several guidelines have been put into place to alleviate any confusion.

School Messenger Guidelines For FPS Staff

School Messenger notifications sent by the Community Relations Coordinator to District-wide parents and staff are reserved for the following:

1. Messages from the Superintendent
2. District-Wide School Closings
3. District Over the Fence Newsletters
4. Community-wide events related to FPS
5. District reminders (count day, winter break, etc.)

Final discretion is given to the Superintendent.

For building specific items, the building principal and/or designated staff member will be responsible for emailing parents and staff via School Messenger. All emails should remain school-related.

District All Staff Emails for FPS Staff

Staff members are to use the distribution list District All Staff for work-related items only. Information on achievements, fundraisers and special activities that directly benefit the students are considered acceptable emails. Emails regarding personal matters, the selling of items, or promoting of personal businesses are prohibited and reserved for the District’s Want Ads. Questions regarding the acceptable use of School Messenger and/or District All Staff notifications should be sent to the Community Relations Coordinator.

Media Protocol
