In a time where, by the year 2015, 25 percent of children will be obese, nutrition
plays a large role in how we raise our kids today. Keeping this in mind, Fraser
Public Schools will be offering healthier options this year to all meals. Items
include 100 calorie pack snacks, whole grain pastas, lean ground beef, low fat
milk and cheeses, lean turkey and chicken, 100 percent fruit juice, bottled water,
and much more! We will still have our fresh fruit and veggie bars available every
day to help students eat healthier.

It is a proven fact that students learn better, pay better attention and have fewer
trips to the nurse’s office when they eat a nutritious breakfast in the morning. That
is why we are rolling out a new hot breakfast buffet. This buffet will feature different
weekly specials, such as pancakes, waffles, French toast, sausage, cheese
omelets and more! Weekly specials will be listed on our menu.

We will continue to use our new point of sale register system called Meal Magic
that allows your student to grab his or her meals more quickly. The register system
scans your student’s school ID card to access his or her account. This system has
a great feature where parents are able to view their student’s meal habits, restrict
certain meal items and put money on an account for a small fee. Visit
the Send Money to School link below to sign up today! It’s safe and easy!
You can also put money on their account for free by turning in cash or
checks to the cafeteria.
